Bicycle bottom bracket axle screw
V3 Spindle Screws hold the crank arms in place on the bottom bracket spindle by screwing into the bottom bracket spindle.
These small connecting parts are therefore crucial to the performance and reliability of your bike.
hexagon socket screws are easier to tighten and loosen with a 5 or 6mm BTR Allen key
Flat version v3 last generation (photo A) for large BTR key, or v1, v2, v3 first generation of Mountain Bikes (MTB) electric kit (photo B) conical version for fine BTR wrench (attention the 2 models of screws are not compatible)
It is also important to check the torque of the bottom bracket screws to avoid damage or loosening during a ride.
If the bottom bracket screws are not tightened enough, the crank arms can move sideways, which can also damage the threads, bearings or axle.
It is recommended to check the tightness of the bottom bracket screws regularly.
In conclusion, if the screws in your V1, V2 or V3 mtb lift motor kit show signs of damage, such as worn threads or rounded heads. It is possible to replace them with this version, note that the screws of the version 4 (v4) pro and classic will be different (bigger footprint and thread).
