Engine weight: How much weight is on your bike?
The system is designed to be fun to ride as if you had no engine. As often explained, the masses are very well distributed, so you really don’t feel the weight in action, there is also no pedaling resistance when the motor is not activated.
The weight even becomes an ally in descent on certain points, because the bike is more plated with braking, it is astonishing!
Funny information: some customers have voluntarily weighted their bike with 3 kg at the level of the bottom tube (close to the crankset) to realize the sensations that it can generate in descent before buying the system!

Your reference points will no longer be the same, you will feel like you are growing wings!!!
Generally with the LIFT-MTB motor on a light enduro bike of 12.5kg, we arrive at a bike at about 16kg with the motor without battery) which brings us back to some enduro bikes of a few years ago, or even some current bikes a little heavy which are close to that weight.
So in this case, the delta between :
– The weight of the bike with the motor, and the weight of the bike without the motor are not huge and do not exaggerate the starting behavior of your bike.
We keep the feeling close to our usual bike, but with a big boost in the climbs so the overweight is no longer penalizing when pedaling.
An electric bike has about 15Kg
