I have two electric bikes, one 3000w that goes 55km/h without pedaling and one equipped with the mountain bike lift. I can say that the mountain bike lift remains an assistance and not an autonomous engine. Of course you can ride on the flat without pedaling, but on the climb, despite the reduction, it remains a 36v 750w motor, so you have to pedal to move forward. My two mounts work with remote batteries in the bag, I have tried several solutions, it is for me the most practical and versatile. Once the right passage for the cable has been found, the only thing to think about is the connection. The bike remains light and manageable, the engine being very low, the general behavior of the bike remains quite close to the one without engine. The batteries of the lift are not very heavy and with a good bag you don’t feel it (provided you are used to riding with a bag of course)
