control screen for electric bike BOSCH

The autonomy of your pedal motor kit can go from simple to triple (see table).

The best way to get the most out of your ATV engine kit is to use the optional LIFT-MTB control screen available in the store to get a wealth of information.

This allows you to know precisely what you consume in real time, the remaining battery, the average consumption on a climb or on an outing, etc.

(for more info click HERE)

-The more you pull on the pedal motor in the low rpm range, the more you will consume. The start-up phase is the most consuming.

In order to consume little, you should not force the electric system at low speed or with too big gears.

-The most efficient way is to start the bike with your legs and use the assistance afterwards, and not to use too big a gear.

-Remember that unlike a car engine, the more revolutions an electric bike engine takes, the less it will consume and the less it will heat up.

-To understand this principle, if the LIFT-MTB adaptable engine is used for too long in the extreme consumption phases, it would be like using the engine of a car at maximum speed in 1st gear on the highway…

-These high consumption phases can be used without problem for a few seconds but should not be too long to avoid excessive overheating and premature wear of certain parts.

In short, this zone of use is a bit like the red zone of the rev counter of your car, you can go there without abusing it…

– The shorter the gear ratio (large rear sprockets) as shown in the illustration, the less energy you will use.

Consumption in AH Comments
From 0 to 8Ah Green zone / Low consumption
From 8 to 14 Ah Blue zone / Average consumption
From 14 to 18Ah Orange zone / High consumption
From 18 to 23Ah Red zone / Extreme high consumption
