Choice of crank between PRO & CLASSIC version
For the crank we use axles made of high range steel top of the range 100% machined in France with a diameter of 22mmwith prints square of 19 mm on a sidecranks with double clamping screws, it is a standard used on the high range crankset BMX so unbreakable!
Not to be confused with the basic steel bottom bracket axles with a small conical square (12.6mm), like on low-end bikes, which are generally unreliable or at least completely outdated.
Use of the specific LIFT-MTB crank
The use of the LIFT MTB kit also requires a crankset with a freewheel on the chainrings to allow you to accelerate without driving the cranks (see video at the bottom of the page).
The kit cannot work without this type of system, that’s why a specific crank is delivered with the kit.
There are two versions of the LIFT-MTB motor kit: V4 CLASSIC and V4 PRO
The V4 “CLASSIC” kit is identical to the V4 “PRO” in terms of motorization and power.
Only the overall weight of the crankset, the finish, and the precision of the freewheel system changes.
The characteristics of the “CLASSIC” crank

- Weight 1150 grams (value of the “CLASSIC” crank alone, excluding kit 200 euros).
The characteristics of the “PRO” crank
- Oversize 22 mm hollow chromoly steel axle (except fat bike version)
- With diameter adapter to change it to 22/24 mm/ 24 mm /29 mm and 30 mm.
- Compatible with all frame widths for electric cross country / eclectic enduro / electric downhill / electric road bike / electric fat bike.
- PRO freewheel, with 72 engagement points per revolution and 6 independent pawls and springs for high precision and better distribution of forces.
- arms aluminium 7075 T6 CNC superlight 170 mm, laser engraving in relief, tightening on the axis by pinching with double screws.
- Weight 750 grams (value of the crankset alone “PRO” excluding kit 450 euros).
Here are the different rings delivered with the kit to be compatible with the 4 most common standards of the market which are :
– Axle diameter 24 mm :Race face (steel axle) and Shimano Hollowtech, some FSA.
– Axle diameter 29mm : SRAM DUB (version with aluminum axle).
– Axis diameter 30 mm : Rotor, E13 , Race face , HXR (aluminum axle version).
– Axle diameter 22 mm on the left side, and 24 mm on the right side: SRAM GXP.
Conclusion on the choice of the crank:
– The version PRO version allows to gain 400 gramsoffers a better reactivityand more precise relaunching thanks to the 6 pawl freewheel.
– The extra cost will be
+250euros
for a PRO compared to the CLASSIC version.
